Mike Callais honored with 2018 Man of Achievement Award

ORLANDO, FL — Charles “Mike” Callais, CEO of Abdon Callais Offshore LLC, was honored with the Man of Achievement by the Phi Kappa Theta Foundation. The Man of Achievement Award, started in 1980 and awarded by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, is the highest honor bestowed upon Brothers of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity.  The award recognizes members who have risen to prominence in their chosen fields of endeavor. Callais was recognized during the IMPACT18 conference in 2018 in Orlando, FL.

For 15 years, Mike Callais has been the leader at the forefront of Abdon Callais Offshore’s success. In 2008, he took over as CEO of the company and has continued to build on the company’s already strong foundation. They were one of the earliest pioneers in the marine transportation business for the oil and gas sector.

Mike has been actively involved in professional organizations, including: the Knights of Columbus, the Rotary Club of Golden Meadow, the board of United Community Bank, the board of Lady of the Sea General Hospital, and Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Louisiana State University, where he was initiated into the Louisiana Xi chapter of Phi Kappa Theta.
