Scott Hoffpauir honored with 2005 Man of Achievement Award
WORCESTER, MA— Scott Hoffpauir was honored with the Man of Achievement by the Phi Kappa Theta Foundation. The Man of Achievement Award, started in 1980 and awarded by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, is the highest honor bestowed upon Brothers of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity. The award recognizes members who have risen to prominence in their chosen fields of endeavor. Hoffpauir was recognized during the Fraternity’s National Meeting on August 6, 2005.
Hoffpauir was the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Broadsoft, a company that provides voice over internet protocols for phone services. He previously was the leader of engineering and architecture groups for DSC/Alcatel and Nortel, the company that provides services for NASA. Scott also held multiple patents in Group Speciale Mobile (GSM), Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), and call processing and switching areas.
Hoffpauir earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he was initiated into the Louisiana Omicron chapter of Phi Kappa Theta and later served as chapter president.
