Gerald Mossinghoff honored with 2019 Man of Achievement Award
AUSTIN, TX— Gerald Mossinghoff was honored with the Man of Achievement by the Phi Kappa Theta Foundation. The Man of Achievement Award, started in 1980 and awarded by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, is the highest honor bestowed upon Brothers of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity. The award recognizes members who have risen to prominence in their chosen fields of endeavor. Mossinghoff was recognized during the Fraternity’s 2019 Convention in Austin, TX.
Brother Mossinghoff has held a number of esteemed positions in his career. He served as deputy general counsel of NASA; as Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Commissioner of Patents and Trademarks during President Reagan’s first term; and then as president of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA). He is one of the world’s premier intellectual property specialists.
Mossinghoff earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from St. Louis University. He followed that by obtaining a law degree from George Washington University
