Ron Sibila honored with 2009 Man of Achievement Award
COLUMBUS, OH — Ron Sibila was honored with the Man of Achievement by the Phi Kappa Theta Foundation. The Man of Achievement Award, started in 1980 and awarded by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, is the highest honor bestowed upon Brothers of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity. The award recognizes members who have risen to prominence in their chosen fields of endeavor. Sibila was recognized during the Fraternity’s 50th Biennial Convention on August 7, 2009 in Columbus, Ohio.
Sibila was a well-respected member of the warehousing and transportation logistics industry. He served as the President of the Ohio Trucking Association from 1973-1975. He later became the Vice President from Ohio for the American Trucking Association. Sibila was also the President of Mayflower’s Warehousemen’s Association. He was given many honors during his time, such as being named to the list of Outstanding Young Men of the United States. He was named to the Ohio Trucking Association Hall of Honor and was a Massillon Community Service Award Recipient.
Ron has been actively involved in number of organizations, including: former President of Massillon Jaycees, former President and board member of Massillon Automobile Club, former President and advisory board for Catholic Charities Diocese of Youngstown, and past Chairman of Catholic Service League.
Sibila earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from Ohio University, where he was initiated into the Ohio Psi chapter of Phi Kappa Theta.
